This post is aimed at Steam users, who are installing Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition in Steam.
Ultimate Edition in Steam includes all the listed content. However, it is possible that this content does not appear for or players. In this case, player has to activate DLCs by running two files from the installation folder.
I am creating this post, because topic has come up several time in Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition discussions. Instructions to activate DLC content has not been shared on store page. Many new players are confused where to find DLC and are attempting to use the codes, or sign in to third party services to get the content listed for the Ultimate Edition.
Do I need the codes for Steam?
Game will prompt two codes, when you first launch it.
You do not need these codes for anything in Steam. All included DLC content will be installed and activated by running two applications from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist folder. Location of this folder might be different, depending on where you have installed your game. The latter part will always be …steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist.
How to find the correct folder?
If you have hard time to locate the correct folder for files, then you can open it directly from Steam client.
- Open your Steam Client.
- In Library view, right-click the game
- Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
- Open the folder named as redist
Run following files from the redist folder.
All the listed content should now appear in your Downloadable content list, ready to be played.
